Rev. 13:3 GETTING AWAY WITH IT

"and all the world wondered after the beast." (Rev. 13:3)

No One Sees
The wonder, the ability to make oneself look younger, feel better, be stronger, surroundings look nicer seems to appeal to the man of the world. Many scammers thus have come up with visual appeals: "We've come up with a discovery that defies science, to make life easier, more beautiful, the way you want it to be, quicker and cheaply! for a limited time only!"

Paying After All
And, like King Amaziah in the Old Testament, they say "Everything is by the books" (2 Chron. 25:4) and think they get away with something and grin real big, not realizing Whom they have wronged Who pulls all the wires of the universe, and HE always gets the last laugh. No doubt there are humans paying for their dishonesty with mental illness, unexplained misfortune, family disharmony, health problems, unaware they are having to deal with the Hound of Heaven.

Children of God really shouldn't chuckle. We should know better. But we pull stunts like not obeying right away or doing things halfheartedly, AND WE KNOW OUR HEAVENLY FATHER SEES, but we do it anyway! Delayed/Partial Obedience is DISOBEDIENCE and, while the unregenerate may get a prison sentence, we'd be looking to receive parental discipline and training. What shape that SPANKING may take is up to God; all I know is it's not pleasant but gets its job done.

Cleanup After Rain
I remember when we lived up in Koriyama near a stream and saw how silt dirtied it after every  rainshower. But the city came in and took care of all the dead debris, then used a small pump until the water ran clean. Sure, it meant we couldn't use the footpath a while, and that machine was a little noisy. But I don't think anybody wanted that creek left alone. We were glad for whatever it took to keep it clean.

Our Creator can do whatever it takes to accomplish what He wills.
