"He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity" (Rev. 13:10)
The other day, I saw another video in which scripture was supposedly read from. It said "and next, the Promised Land." Altho' the portion referred to was Gen. 12:1, where Abram leaves Ur: "Get thee up out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house," I didn't know I'd gone over that passage so many times I'd memorized it. The next phrase is: "unto a land that I will show thee." NOT "and next, the Promised Land."
Some people will say, what's the big deal? It's the same thing, isn't it? That's what the enemy wants you to think. Eyes are quickly taken off the PROMISER. And the one really praised after that is the human recipient for courage and determination in the quest of the land promised. Attention is riveted to problems of injustices and matters of the heart, relationships, social situations needing change, etc.
The enemy will have succeeded in leading men to become captive to themselves and to earth's limitations instead of becoming "prisoners of Jesus Christ and shackled to His emancipation of all Heaven has to offer man: not only complete pardon and release from sin but full sonship to a Divine Father, and instant and permanent friendship with the most Faithful, Wise, Powerful, and Loving Confidant!
